Makayla joined The Cromeens Law Firm in 2025, bringing five years of paralegal experience across a variety of industries, including personal injury, criminal defense, and civil litigation.
Originally from Grambling, Louisiana, she attended college in her hometown, earning both her bachelor’s degree in history and her master’s degree in social sciences from Grambling State University. Now based in Houston, Makayla plans to attend law school to specialize in criminal, civil, and business law. Her goal is to one day open her own law firm focused on providing affordable legal services to underserved communities.
Outside of work, Makayla is a passionate foodie who enjoys experimenting with new recipes and dishes. She enjoys spending time with family and friends but also appreciates quiet evenings at home watching movies. A lifelong learner, she frequently reads and researches a wide range of topics, both for personal interest and professional growth.
