Law Clerk Deja Reid is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. In early 2022, she moved to Houston, Texas, in search of a change of scenery. Before her move to Texas, she attended Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2019.
Following her undergraduate studies, she went on to pursue her Juris Doctor at Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina, which she completed in 2021. During her time in law school, Deja interned at J.T. Jones Law, PLLC., an entertainment law firm in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as at Rigsbee Law Firm, a business law firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. At both internships, she primarily worked on trademark approval and contract review.
Currently, Deja is inspired by the opportunities to help individuals and companies navigate complex legal issues that arise during construction projects. She is particularly drawn to the intersection of law and construction, as it requires a unique combination of legal knowledge and technical expertise.
Recognizing that becoming a licensed Attorney is the next logical step in her career path, Deja is preparing diligently to take the bar exam this year. She is excited to have the opportunity to fully apply her knowledge and skills in the field and to make a positive impact on the lives of her clients.
