Melanie brings a fresh perspective to her role as a paralegal at The Cromeens Law Firm. After years in the wine industry, where she specialized in sales and brand management for fine wine importation and distribution, she transitioned to law to leverage her skills in new and meaningful ways. Her passion for the law—and her desire to help small business owners navigate legal challenges—led her to pursue a career in the legal field.
Originally from Houston, Melanie holds a degree in Communications and Media from DePaul University. She also studied Journalism and European Studies at the University of Sheffield in England. In Spring 2024, Melanie graduated as Valedictorian of the Paralegal Certificate Program at the University of Houston Downtown. Her diverse academic background, strong work ethic, and dedication to excellence have enabled her to adapt to the legal profession quickly.
As a paralegal, Melanie is passionate about supporting small businesses by helping them understand their legal rights and protect their interests. Working closely with the attorneys at Cromeens Law Firm, she takes pride in assisting clients who play an important role in their communities.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time at her family farm in Bellville, Texas, where she and her husband—who is also a beekeeper—tend to their micro-farm. An experienced equestrian, she rides Hunter-Jumpers and is the proud owner of two horses: an AQHA-registered mare and a retired Texas prison horse. At home in Houston, she enjoys the company of her two farm dogs, a Border Collie and a Collie-Shepherd mix.
Melanie is proud to be a part of The Cromeens Law Firm, where the meaningful work and collaborative environment make each day fulfilling. Her combination of experience, education, and dedication to helping others makes her a valuable asset to the firm and its clients.
