Joseph Munoz Attorney

Born and raised in Ecuador, Mayra Maldonado moved to the United States when she was 8 years old. She was a “military brat” for 6 years, and was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. With Spanish as her first language, she is fully bilingual, and she speaks English fluently.

Mayra was the first person in her family to graduate from Law School in the U.S., where she attended South Texas College of Law Houston. She was a quarterfinalist in the Spurgeon Bell Memorial Moot Court Competition (Spring 2019) and served as student attorney for various clinics. While in law school, Mayra interned at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in the Sex Crimes Unit. Mayra also served as Public Relations Chair of the Women’s Law Society, and she was a member of the Oil and Gas Society and Hispanic Law Student Association.

Prior to attending law school, Mayra graduated from the University of Houston where she received her bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Business Foundations.

Maldonado was so excited to join The Cromeens Law Firm family. She loves that the team helps each other, treats each other with respect, and cheers and supports each other through everything. She is so thankful to be working with a group of driven individuals who are passionate about helping their clients protect their businesses and their interests. When she is not working, Mayra enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, watching documentaries, and playing with her fur baby, Oreos.

Why Statement

“I was born in a different country, and I came to the U.S. at a young age. I know how hard it is to start over, not know the language and to feel like you have no rights. That is why I am passionate about helping those who have no voice or may not know their rights. I’m here to fight for my clients, protect their businesses and their interests, and be their advocate, because here at the Cromeens Law Firm, we know how hard you’ve worked to build something for yourself and your family.”
